Atlanti (2012) | fine art Hahnemuhle-Harman | variable dimension
The Atlanti series intends to emphasize the connection between the image, the basic concept of photographic language and its relative observation.
The random composition that is created on the page reveals two images set against the light. This allows for new hypotheses to represented and explored.
Atlanti is a work done with archive material (photographs from magazines and encyclopedias about the natural world). Images have been processed according to a new formal reading whose aim is to set up special imagery. The mixing of animal species and landscapes gives place to new visual areas very much similar to the “bestiaries” narrated between the eleventh and thirteenth century.
The work is intended as “contemplation of the possible”.
