Layers (2015)
A common subject, no matter which, taken from everyday life, used as an excuse to show a process. The project is set up as a collection of variations on the theme, where the formal difference (color), which takes over and changes the perceptive impression of the subject, corresponds to the possibilities that automatic visual processing tools offer.
Layers is a sort of selection not unlike the one you can see in manuals of graphics, where variations and color intervals repeat and refer to a common process, that is a different application-processing of the same visual theme. The resulting images are the crystallization of a continuous and automatic movement, always possible, where suspect, subjects, forms, always depend on their formal impression.
Layers is a reflection on the habits of the medium, on its automatic language, a research on the tones and flavors that the tools of visual process suggest in the inevitable attempt to produce for each subject traces of a language which is always similar to itself.
